Big Mouths

Okay, so it has nothing much to do with me, but one thing is for sure I HATE for people to run their mouths if they don't know what they are talking about. So get this today at school the same girl that was trying to tell me what my job was, opened her big mouth again. Well we were in the produce cooler putting away the shipment we had just gotten in and I noticed that there was a chef instructor in the freezer next to the one we were in so I walked in there to see if he needed help well this girl being that "tail" that she is followed me in and while I was attempting to talk to the chef, she butted in and told the chef "your girlfriend has missed work for the last week" (she was talking about one of the girls that works with us and has a crush on him) well he comes back with "I don't know what your talking about I don't fraternize with the students" So I'm here standing between them and I don't know what to do or for that matter what to think. I'm pissed of course because the reason we joke and stuff about our crushes on different chefs in our school is because; well we're girls and young ones for that matter. I mean we are GIRLS, girls talk about stupid stuff all the time and we joke and that is why we get along and make time pass by quick. Well it was none of this girls business to open up to the chef and shock both of us with that comment and I was frozen I was lost for words and could not get out of it, and after a few mins. I finally said "chef it's getting to cold in here so I'm heading out but if you need help with anything just let me know" and we all walked out and I then got on to the girl and told her that she should not have done something so stupid. She knows what happens when rumors get around and I was PISSED. I mean I feel so bad for the chef and for that girl so come Monday morning I'm going to apologize to the chef and let him know that I had no idea she was going to be so stupid. She said that she "was fucking with the chef" and I told her that she could not play like that about a chef and someone else for that matter and she just lashed out with "I was fucking with the chef" I mean this jeopardizes his job if someone would have heard or walked in at the wrong moment and it is know to happen. Well I feel so bad because I did not stop her but if I can't get her to stop following me around then I don't know how to get her to shut up. For the most part it is known that nothing could be said in front of her. You know earlier in the semester she asked me why is it that people get irritated with me and I couldn't tell her I could not answer that question but if she asks me now then I could tell her in a split second.
