It's been a While

So Sorry it has been forever since I've been by but between work, classes, moving, and plannning a surprise shower for a friend of mine I have just been busy and then I have attempting to do what I can to help with the efforts for the victims of Katrina. What did work out was that since I am in the middle of moving I was able to take out what I did not need at home and donate that for the vitims. I got a couple of large bags full of clothing and I still have shoes and other items to drop off. Also for one of my classes we have a project and as a group we decided on helping out at the shelters here in Austin. You know what is so interesting that our government is too busy bashing each other and fighting over who did or did not do what that they are not putting as much effort as they could into helping the vicitms. You know I keep up with the news at work on the net, I don't really get to watch it at home and at work I have time to look up and see what's going on in the news but what I've gotten lately is just stories of sadness and I want to cry but I realize that everyone around me is doing everything they can to help these people. But you know what I have realized, that is how many people are putting themselves and their lives on hold to help the victims, and this I think is WONDERFUL. I think it goes back to my blog about my favorite reading in the Bible. Anyway I have to get back to homework so I'll be back soon when I set up my computer again at my new place next week.
